Northwest of Central City, Colorado and not far at all from my home is the old ghost town of Apex.
Started in the late 1800's like so many other Towns in Colorado out of the search for gold Apex they say, once had as many as 1000 residents.
We didn't make it all the way to the town for whatever reason but we had a hoot trying to get there. This time my son Jordan and I took Richie along for the ride. He admitted that he had never been four wheeling before but after this ride he was hooked. I'd be surprised if he doesn't have a Jeep
by this time next year.
